#14 Alec, James, Paul Carney - Mentor Revolution

2016-10-21 11:14:23

Today we have the three brother owners from Gemelli’s, located in Broadbeach (and Gemellini at Nobby’s) here to talk about their startup experiences. Owned by Alec and James they are assisted by their older brother and business development manager Paul. The business revolves around the family and their Italian background, being their point of difference in Italian dining here on the Coast.

A key focus for the boys when running their business, is a team orientation which has attributed to their success for the local restaurant. Along with this, there is a focus on fresh produce and their unique ability to match their food and wine at both restaurants.

The boys go on to talk about some of the struggles they faced when starting the restaurant. An important message that the boys talk about is planning and funding, especially within the initial stages with the fitout - there are always hidden costs. Tune in now to find out more about this local startup, on the latest episode of Mentor Revolution.
